Central Scotland Softball League has been running for nearly fifteen years. From small beginnings with lots of hard work from various volunteers, the league has grown and developed to seven teams in our outdoor league and ten teams in our indoor league.

Our 2011 outdoor season will start in April and run to the end of August and we will be playing two nights weekly from 7:00 pm. Please feel free to come down and join us anytime, to have a look and get a game! The pitches are at Hutchiesons Grammar, Thornliebank Playing fields.

Every day tasks are done by the Management Committee and each member is represented on the Executive Committee by a team representative. The Executive Committee are the ones that have the authority to make decisions for CSSL.

CSSL is a mixed (co-ed) slowpitch softball league consisting of teams and players with various abilities. In the summer outdoor league, a team consists of 10 players on the pitch with a minimum of 4 women.

In the winter, we have an indoor league playing in various locations throughout Glasgow. The games are played between September and April with each team having 7 players with a minimum of 2 women in each team.

Our national governing body are the British Softball Federation, they work in conjunction with our development agency BSUK to promote and advance softball in the UK.
